A tanulmány a globálisan integrált pénz- és tõkepiacok terjeszkedésének arról az újabb szakaszáról szól, amelyet valutaválságként kezdõdõ rendszerválságok jellemeznek a feltörekvõ piacú (tehát a strukturális reformokban már többé-kevésbé elõrehaladott) országokban. A váratlanul elinduló, mégis elkerülhetetlennek látszó, járványszerûen terjedõ válságok kezdik megrendíteni mind a reformokat elõíró és megtervezõ nemzetközi pénzügyi szervezetek, mind a reformokat végrehajtó államok önbizalmát és tekintélyét. Az újabb típusú válságok kimenetele vagy megoldása azonban majdnem minden esetben gyarapítja a globálisan szervezett struktúrák gazdasági és politikai erejét. Ezért ezt a folyamatot érthetõ módon élénk viták és erõteljes állásfoglalások kísérik.*

– Part one
Synopsis: 

This study reports about the newest stage of the expansion of the globally integrated money and capital market, which can be characterised by system crises beginning with currency crises in the uprising markets. The crises that started unexpectedly were yet unavoidable and spread like a disease, now start to shatter the self-confidence and prestige of the international monetary organisations that planned and prescribed the reforms as well as of the countries executing these reforms. The outcome or solution of the newer types of crises increases the economic and political power of the globally organised structures in almost every case. That is why there are lively discussions and strong point of views concerning this process.
