A különböző gazdaságkutató intézetek minden év tavaszán adják közre előző évi gazdasági helyzetértékelésüket és prognózisukat. A sajtó többnyire csak a legfontosabb gazdasági mutatókról és egy-két szavas értékelésről ad tájékoztatást, az intézetek által készített vaskos tanulmányok pedig nem mindig jutnak el az érdeklődőkhöz. Ezért először tavaly, 2001-ben adtuk közre ezekből az értékelésekből, illetve prognózisokból a kutatóintézetek rövid összefoglalóit. 

Az egyes intézetek az azonos vagy hasonló adatok ismeretében is más-más tényt vagy folyamatot tartanak fontosnak, illetve másra helyezik a hangsúlyt. Így az Olvasónak módja lehet tájékozódni az álláspontokról is.

About the performance of the Hungarian economy in 2001 
and it’s prospects for the year 2002
Synopsis: 

In springtime every year economic research institutes regularly publish analysis on the performance of the previous year as well as forecasts. The press informs usually only about the most important economic data and about the analysis’ in a few words, the detailed studies prepared by the institutions do not generally reach those who show interest. This is the reason why for the first time in 2001 we have published a short summary of the reports and prognosis prepared by the research institutions. This year we present another viewpoint: what are the prospects and business relations of the private sector, the major exporters defining the position of the Hungarian economy to a great extent.

Even in the possession of the same or similar data, the individual institutes attach importance to different facts or processes, they rather lay emphasis on different issues. This way the reader can get acquainted with the institutes’ special points of view, as well.
