A cikk sorra veszi az „új gazdaság” három eltérõ értelmezését és megállapítja, hogy az informatikai feldolgozóiparra szakosodott és ennek segítségével felzárkózni kívánó országokban az „új gazdaság” „intellektuális kapitalizmusként” definiált jellemvonásai nem érvényesülnek. Ennek következtében az „új gazdaság” közgazdaságtanának elméleti tételei is másként érvényesülnek a világgazdaság centrumában, mint az azon kívül fekvõ, felzárkózó országokban. A tanulmány néhány ilyen különbséget vesz nagyító alá.*

„New economy” and growth in Hungary
Synopsis: 

The paper enumerates and analyzes three different meanings of the „new economy”. It comes to the conclusion that the „new economy” properties described in international literature as „intellectual capitalism” are not evident in countries specialized on and trying to catch up with the help of the manufacturing of information technology hardware. Thus, the theoretical theses of the economics of the „new economy” are manifest in a different manner in the developed center of the world economy and outside it. Some of these differences are addressed by the paper.
