A tanulmány célja, hogy képet adjon az európai bankszabályozás strukturális reformját érintő legfontosabb problémakörökről és az ún. overbanking jelenségről. Az írás a növekedés méretei, a bankrendszer koncentrációja, valamint a tőkeáttétel mértéke alapján mérlegeli, hogy a válság kitörése óta bevezetett uniós intézkedések – különösen az Egységes Felügyeleti Mechanizmus, illetve az Egységes Szanálási Mechanizmus létrehozása – támogató jogi környezetet biztosítanak-e a további strukturális reformok megkezdéséhez.

Snapshot of the most important problems concerning the European banking regulation
Synopsis: 

The aim of the present article is to give an outline about the key regulatory concerns of the structural reforms of European Banks and to introduce the phenomenon of Overbanking. The paper examines the size, concentration and leverage of the banking system and ponders whether the actions taken or proposed by the European financial legislation since the crisis – strictly speaking the establishment of the Single Supervisory Mechanism or the Single Resolution Mechanism – could grant a supportive legal environment to the further development of structural reforms.
